UEA Break-Day 2

So 2 years ago we went out to Utah's west desert over fall break and this year the kids really wanted to do it again. We went to a place call Topaz Mtn. out in the middle of nowhere to dig for topaz crystals. Well this year we just decided to make a day trip out of it and Mike was as excited as the kids were. We looked it up on a map and on our GPS and were sure we knew right where we were going (we'd been there before right?) Funny thing how easy it is to get turned around out in a great big desert, ha ,ha, ha! After four hours of driving (mostly on dirt roads) and not seeing another being and going in a couple of circles we finally found our destination. To make a long story short, Mike wasn't very happy, the kids were tired of being in the car and we really didn't have much daylight left to dig for crystals. But we had fun anyway! I personally thought it was quite an adventure and enjoyed a day away from our usual routine, that's just me.

A little delayed in the reading of this post. Millard County has some great known and secret places for exploration. That is a bummer that you spent that long in the car. Next time we you head down that way I will have to give you a few other places to check out before you get lost.
